Yeah... my roselle had grown flower looks like blossom (梅花) ! I decided to move the plant from the pot to the ground soil. Hope it will grow bigger & more fruity.
The roselle is a species of hibiscus used for the production of bast fibre and as an infusion.
In Malaysia we call asam paya or asam susur . In Chinese it is 洛神花 (Luo Shen Hua) .
Roselle calyces are harvested fresh to produce pro-health drink due to high contents of vitamin C. Hisbiscus drinks is easy to made by boiling dried calyces of the flower in water for 8 to 10 minutes (or until the water turns red), then adding sugar. It is often served chilled. It can also made into cocktails with additional rum or process into jam.
